Seasons: South Africa is located in the southern hemisphere, so its seasons are opposite to North America. For a trip focused around safari's, the cooler months (May - October) will be the best as animals tend to hide more in the summer. Then for a trip focused on coastal activities and beach days, the late spring and summer is ideal (November - February). Our trip was mid to late November and we saw the "Big Five" (the safari was hot) and enjoyed the beach with a sweater on.
